Was our present time predictable about half a century ago? Can we foresee what will happen in the next 50 years? And why does it seem so difficult to asses our own present situation, to separate the essential from the less important? And was this easier before?
These are some of the questions, which underlie the art project “Can this be Tomorrow?” which is still under construction.

The artist has been creating fake comic covers in the vintage style of the golden age of comic book art. These artworks, a limited edition of hand-tinted offset prints, reveal their contemporary origin only on closer inspection – due to their present-day contents.
Big issues of our present time become an
overblown fantasy of an imaginary comic book artist..

Part of the exhibition concept is the art installation "Tomorrow", which will be an imitation of a mid-century living room. A video installation and printed material will be presented in this room, where the exhibition visitor can sit down confortably while reading and watching the video.
